"The Beginning"
Tuesday, 27th September 2005, 13:02 GMT

First blog entry from my new home - Warwick. Settling in and trying to cram the map into my head as the place is huge but my accommodation is directly on top of all the nightlife action, such as "Top B"! Check out the Warwick piazza live at www.warwick.ac.uk/webcam - you never know you might see me walking about on the way to Costcutters or bypassing the queue into the union via my fresher's pass! Not much to say really apart from the 16 or so people I share a tiny kitchen with are all superbly clever but also superbly mad - which makes for good 5am parties! First lecture is due tomorrow and then a "hopefully" small test to see where my German grammar is up to... Lee Mack from "ITV's The Sketch Show" is also performing on Sunday which should be excellent and I will certainly not be missing it! Just that sketch "All the leaves are brown" makes me want to go, even if I have an early morning lecture on Monday! I'll keep you updated as much as possible on all the exciting new developments and inform you of any spectacular events happening here on my doorstep at Warwick.

"...The End is Near!"
Thursday, 22nd September 2005, 18:15 GMT

The last time I'll be out and about living up St Helens' nightlife on a Thursday for a while as zero hour comes ever closer. Hopefully it'll be an eventful night, but not got so many hopes on that front. As unorganised as I am as the big move comes closer I thought a brief update to the blog would be in order to record my anxiety and excitement as the countdown continues. I've been very busy doing odd little projects including my cousin's wedding DVD, website design for the Village Music School in Rainhill www.villagemusicschool.co.uk and various other IT/video related services/favours/errands.

Receiving my fun-filled timetable and address for Warwick was also headline news for me this week, as the prospect of moving away from the north finally sinks in. Complicated stuff! Not much else to report really.

"And So..."
Friday, 2nd September 2005, 20:01 GMT

So new design for a new era of life. Back on track with my website after a number of large time consuming projects, but rest assured of the frequency of my updates from now on as the Warwick time approaches. Should be superb, but naturally I'm nervous of the prospect of moving away from family and friends at the same time as being excited about the same prospect! Ambivalence I believe it is termed although I will have to look that one up!

So after living the life of Jack Bauer once again during the last few weeks it all becomes clear that the move away from sunny St. Helens isn't that bad and its simply another rung of the ladder that needs to be climbed.
